Arndt Wigger

Dr Arndt Wigger (born 1943 in Dresden, Germany) is a German linguist. A specialist in Modern Irish Gaelic (Nua-Ghaeilge), Wigger has published many articles on different aspects of the modern language. He is a fluent speaker of the Connemara dialect. He also studies Hungarian, Portuguese and Arabic. He is closely associated with the Studienhaus für Keltische Sprachen und Kulturen - SKSK, at the University of Bonn, and has held academic posts in universities in Bonn, Wuppertal and Cairo.
