Attendees of the 'Translating the Neighbourhood' online conference hosted by NUI Galway got a sneak peek at the Ar Ais Arís project. James Ríordan (the artistic director of Brú Theatre) introduced the work as part of his talk about the creative challenge of presenting Irish language theatre and literature to audiences who do not speak the language.

Ar Ais Arís comprises three 360 degree videos of performance, dance and song that interpret some of the Aistriú texts. While audiences will have to wait for COVID-19 restrictions to be lifted before they can enjoy the full performance, the snippets at today's conference certainly peaked interest!
